This course will be taught by two lecturers. Prof. Wim Ubachs (e-mail: w.m.g.ubachs@vu.nl) will teach the subjects Quanta, Atoms, Molecules, Nuclei, Particles and Relativity.
He will be assisted by Mr. Madhu Talluri (e-mail: m.t.talluri@vu.nl).
Prof. Roberta Croce (e-mail: r.croce@vu.nl) will teach the part on Biomatter.
She will be assisted by Mrs. Nicoletta Liguori (e-mail: n.liguori@vu.nl).
The course amounts to 6 ECTS.

Exam(s)
The exam will be taken in three parts:
1st part: Quanta, Atoms, Molecules - Thursday 23 October at 15:00 - 17:00 in Lecture Hall F123 (W&N building)
2nd part: Particles, Nuclei and Relativity - 16 Dec. 2014 8:45-10:45 in Main Building 08A05
3rd part: BioMatter - 19 December at 8:45 in Lecture Hall Q112 (W&N building)
The endmark will be determined by the average over the three marks obtained.
No partial certificates will be handed for those who pass only parts of the course.
It will be required to solve home-work problems that will be graded and included in the final marks (for 25% of the exam parts).
