How to get there?
From Schiphol airport a train ride takes about 2 1/2 hours to Maastricht with one stopover, either at Utrecht Central Station or Sittard Station.

You need to buy a train ticket (cost E25) at the main entrance hall at schiphol, here you can descend to the trainplatforms. You cannot buy a ticket in the train.
There is a direct bus from Maastricht Train Station to the meeting place; departure times: every 30 minutes.
At Stations plein (main square in front of trainstation) take the bus with number 57, destination: "Epen-Gulpen"
Tickets can be purchased in the bus for E4,50 (cash only).
Generally this bus leaves from Spoor E (Track E), but do check this yourself upon arrival.
Note the bus passes by the MECC conference place where the main photosynthesis meeting is held.
The ride takes 44 minutes, get out at Stop "Heijenrath, Heijenrath village".

Continue in the direction of the bus for 20 meters where the road forks. Take a right to "givelderweg"
walk 40 meters, you find Auberge the Smockelaer on your right hand.
