InterDisciplinary Engineering and Applied Sciences at the μm scale

research

The philosophy underlying our research activity can be well expressed by the words of our group leader: "Our approach to science is based on originality: we always try to tackle long standing problems with "out-of-the-box" ideas, or to formulate new questions from the combination of arguments coming from different research areas. It is with this spirit that we prepare our research program and our daily activity. Our projects span from the design, assembly, and realization of experiments in fundamental physics (e.g., the Casimir effect) to the development of new instruments for applied sciences (e.g., the fiber-top cantilever)."
